Default DME FQS SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

This was in the tech garage on Lindsey Racings site. You can adjust your fuel mixture and timing with an allen wrench. Has anybody messed with this.

heres the page

My 89 turbo had a brass fitting in the hole, unlike the picture. Is that normal?

Oh hey that link works again (second one). No idea what carlege is posting about. (Yes, it's an old thread but relevant with working links) =P

According to the second link, which is now active again, some DMEs have a metal cover and it should be gently pried off. That's what I am seeing it seems. Also means mine was most likely not adjusted... I will look for other causes of running rich all the time (02 sensor, vacuum, dme temp sensor, etc)

Don't forget to check your FPR. The nut had backed off on my AFPR so my WB was going nuts!

That was fun chasing down!

the best tool to adj the FQS is a lawn sprinkler key for Hunter heads. Fits perfect and easy to turn. Turn all the way counter clockwise to get to the Zero position, then clockwise to reach desired position. I am at #3 position.
