A Vitesse Tale. My impressions of the V-flex and turbo.

John, plug your manual boost gauge to the same line as the MAP sensor. Verify the difference in the readings. Your gauge may not be bad, but maybe connected to the wrong place or has a leak in the line.

btw took the car out this morning looked over everything. Shes okay
*edit* Software works great John. If I can use this software and tune my car that means a monkey can do it! Seriously anyone can use this stuff. I'm glad its so easy. I was affraid i'd have to hire someone to tune it for me. I made some small adjustments and she's running great. That cursor hunter is awesome.

Fixed gauge, dialed up boost, how much power???
Finally located the leak at my boost gauge and fixed it! The rubber connector was ripped just slightly enough to mess with the numbers in the right conditions(so my gauge really was accurate some of the time...arghhh)! At any rate I FINALLY felt comfortable turning that black ****. I made slow adjustments to the boost and it just kept getting faster and faster. Air/fuels were perfect and when it finally reached 16.5psi I stopped. I might crest 17 at redline just for a second.
My god man is the car quick. I think I just added like 60hp or something. It sure feels like it. I'm dying to know what it makes at this boot level on pump fuel. It just pulls so hard even harder than before. Any idea what sort of power im at?
Brand spanking new motor, webcam, ported lindsey head, Vitesse stage 2 turbo kit,Fabspeed 4inch SS exhaust, lindsey DP wastegate, good crossover, and headers(stock), biller deverter valve, all other associated mods.

John, Glad you found the problem with the boost gauge, much easier and less expensive to fix the line to it. Same as you, a few others had boost issues and the V-FLEX helped save their engine. One guy kept hitting the overboost, come to find out his WG was damaged.
As far as how much power your car is making, the Stage 2 is rated at 300-320rwhp at 1bar boost. You add 10-14hp per additional 1psi boost. This is the average, some do a bit better, some do not. Peak numbers are useless, what you want is the widest area under the power curve. Once you fine tune the setup, you will get more out of it. Running pump gas maps vs. race gas maps affects the output, the race gas maps yielding higher performance.

Don't matter though because big numbers and race gas boost was never what I was after. I'm really happy with how the car runs. Last night was the quickest I think its been.

John, you select the image on the chip/board. Check your emails for the documents describing what you have and how to select it. Of course, you can email me and I'll be glad to go over it with you.
