And it starts! All that new power and POP gos the main radiator hose. I've already ordered one and had it overnighted. Should be here tomorrow(hopefully early). I have no tools and its freggin 15 outside. I had to home depot that hose off haha but, I got it off.

Anyone wanna come over and bring some tools tomorrow and help me put this new hose on? I promise a ride when were done and perhaps some lunch.....

I can give you a hand tommorow... up until 1-1:30 as I've got a flying lesson @ 2:30 in Hudson. If its too windy @ 6000ft I'm free till about 4. I've got all the tools we need and it shouldn't take that long.

Sorry I was going to clean the car up some and take some shots today until I noticed the car was low on water when I was checking over everything in the daylight. Once I install the hose tomorrow if the weather is still good I'll clean it up enough to snap some pics and post em'.

Vids are coming too. Maybe I can get mike to hold the camera for me tomorrow

Funny. I also drove back my car to home this evening after the v-Flex upgrade with the Stage 3 turbo now installed and I share this opinion: perfect idle, no more stumbling in jams, it runs like a "modern" car. I'm eager to get a road trip the next week end !

Congrats on the upgrade!
My car with the stage2 was a rocket from 60-140 .
With a little work you should see 15psi at about 2875rpm's or so.
First and second gears would light up the 285's pretty easy.
Watch out though, with the stage 2 it's much to easy to
double the speed limit.

Awesome. Glad you got home in one piece.
Are you going to get a chance to dyno it to see if it made the amount of power you wanted on 15psi?
I'm dying to see the dyno graph. ... And the new videos.
I know how it feels to FINALLY get in your car and drive. I know you've been very patient and deserve a perfect running car.

would like to share a fun related experience

Last year immediately prior to running the 2008 SORC road race event I upgraded to VR Stage3 with Vflex and wasted spark.

For my class I was restricted to a tech limit of 140mph.
One of my navigators jobs was to help keep an eye and let me know if I was over 155 on the speedo......

So every long straight I cranked it up. Once up to speed it took about 20-25% throttle to maintain 155 on the speedo. It was very hard to not go too fast!
My navigator must have yelled "OVER 150" a hundred times

we would both smile and laugh and I would lift some more......... what a blast.
I had run the car in other events before the upgrade. It took all it had to reach and hold that speed under most conditions.

Huge transformation. I realized that day this setup gave me plenty more head room to grow into the car. For me it was a pleasant realization that I once again had plenty more car than driver. This car as is, should be very capable to move up 3 or 4 classes in this event...... the driver however will take plenty more seat time I predict.

thought you might enjoy, I sure enjoy reliving it!
