Have you got any way of quantifying their effectiveness?

No, I just really only have common sense, the parachute looking rear bumper removed... I could have put some tape on and video'd the disturbance I guess, but I didnt, and even then its not exactly quantified.

Any reason you're going with the F20 over a K-series? I guess you guys don't have F22s over there, do you?

Purely because the F20 (we have the F22 here also) already comes in RWD configuration. I was looking at doing a K24 with K20 (Type R) head, but found an F20 "cheap" and once its all going will sleeve and bore / stroke it to 2.5-2.6 and turbo it for a sneaky 5-700WHP. But thats a few months away yet!

I'm pretty sure the F20 is better then the K20.

Just an FYI my mate has a K20(non opened) with a GT3076R on it pushing 300 rwkw. in a S13 chassis with a S2000 6 speed. using it as a drift car. pretty cool setup.

That's true, but I just figured in either case there would be a good deal of work to get a Honda motor in an AE86. That's cool you found an F20 cheap. Here they put the K series in so many different models they're way cheaper and easier to find. That's one of the reasons more and more track s2000 guys here are replacing their F20/F22s with K series motors.

5-700whp? That's insane considering the car/use but 100% attainable. Do you know what turbo yet? I'm looking forward to seeing your car progress, it's already pretty badass.

I've had both an F22 and a K20 and while the F20/F22 puts out more power and torque from the factory, there is more potential for NA power in the K series since it has iVTEC and more displacement(K24 bottom end).

You're buddy's car must be a blast. It sickens me how much boost those guys can run with that much compression.

Yeah Ill (the builder) will need to mod the front cross member, make a driveshaft, make an engine and gearbox mount, clearance the tunnel, mod the oil pan, make an exhaust, wire it in...

Im looking at EFR series borg warner, maybe 8374. I like the all in one technique they use in that turbo. Im going GT3 cup car chasing!

Yes I think Highland Park is the name. Looks an amazing complex (especially for the Southern Hemisphere). Think it was paid for by the Pet Food racers? Lucky you to be near enough to try it. Much Jealousy!!!

In goes the S2000 (F20C) engine, out goes the trans tunnel!

Can't quite tell what I'm looking at in the 1st pic? That cross bar, what's it attached to and is it there to prevent the trans from moving any further upwards...or...?? That's going to really mess with your 'heel-toeing'!
