Default FS: NEW Oliver forged Rods

These were special ordered from Oliver Rods. Not your usual suspects (Pauter, Carillo). Check their website for more information: http://www.oliverconnectingrods.com/

These were almost $1400.00 new. First $1100.00 shipped takes them.

That is what we put in my 3.1 motor. Very high quality.

WHAT!?????????????

I have been looking into head designs and combustion volumes and stuff. I haven't had a chance to look at rod lengths.. So you're saying the pin height is only difference?

Oliver rods are the work of black magic steel processing. Oliver rods are top notch and used almost exclusively in NASCAR. Now before you sneer at that know that piston speeds in NASCAR motors are/were recently higher than F1 motors. These rods are tough.

hows that work? F1 have rpm up to 20,000? would this not bi indicatice of piston speed? what do nascar engines rev to?

F1 engines have a stroke of less than 40 mm or something like that so piston speed's aren't actuallt that high.

(Sorry for the OT)

Wouldn't the less stroke imply the higher rotations? Also I guess it also depends on how many pistons?
