Courtesy of the PO, I have a SciVision MAF. I'm thinking with the general engine mods (15psi, MBC, 3" SFR exhaust, cat delete) that the factory airbox is likely a constraint at this time. Factory K26/6 turbo still on the car.
Anyone converted the SciVision to work with a cone type filter? What did you use to convert the J boot and what filter did you end up using? I'd like to do the "thru the fender setup" if I can to help manage intake temps.
Cheers!
Jeff

Like this?
You will need K&N model ru-5111 and a Metal j-pipe from lindsey, speed force, or vitesse. Its a very tight fit but I'm sure you can be more careful with your new filter than I was.
Oh yeah, a can of engine degreaser.
I also had to grind the annoying piece on the alternator cooling shroud.
Also, expect to hear lots of spool and diverter valve noise.

I bought mine as a kit but I believe <$300 however I did not have a maf before therefor I couldn't give you a good comparison for your situation performance wise.
I think there is a j-pipe for sale in this thread
