WTB: KKK 27/6 and/or.....
Just like it reads...thought I would ask here before going elsewhere.
-Looking for a KKK 27/6 or potentially the Garrett DBB equivalent.
NEW or USED (must be in excellent condition).
-TIAL 46MM WG (will consider Tial 38mm OR another reputable brand)
NEW or USED (must be in excellent condition).
AS ALWAYS, CASH IN HAND.

A few on this board, actually recommended this size to me for a few reasons:
-quicker spool-up
-smoother midrange power
-less wear/tear on the motor via less high revs (I think that was how it was phrased)
However, what would you recommend? And why? I am always up for different viewpoints

I love my gt30r but never experienced 27/6. I did however come from a 26/6 and 26/8
worst part however was getting it in and then making everything fit.....
advantages: quick seamless power

I like power lower than 4k rpm, and am not looking to make mine a dyno queen. I drove one that Autothority/Pitstop had done the same swap on about a year ago and it was everything I was looking for...and this was with their chips, so I can only imagine what one would be like with a Vitesse Chipset.

the 27/6 is going to end up giving you close the same result as the 26/8 that is on the turbo S cars.
I used to have a 26/8, and there is no comparison whatsoever to a modern turbo like what I have now. Makes it a totally different car. You will get a more linear power curver, faster spoolup, and better top end with even the most basic modern turbo compared to a kkk 27/6.
What mods does your car have?

I would recommend something that isn't 25 year old technology

How much modification, adaptors, machining, etc... did you have to perform to get yours to fit? Or was there any? And what is size/type is it?
I was very intrigued with the Garrett DBB design.
APE MAF, Stage II Chipset, full 3" catless/stainless exhaust, Siemens 55#., Bosch 3bar....I am pretty sure I will be changing to Vitesse chips with the swap.
