I have not heard back from those guys yet, and it has been a while so I had to go a different direction to keep this moving.

Although I have no problem going to the Asheville one...a bit off the beaten path, but that is fine.

Does the Maxton Mile sound more appealing? Nothing is set in stone....but we would need someone to coordinate with them to make sure we can get in.

VOTES PLEASE!
Maxon Mile!!!!! Hands down.

Guys,
Get with "ninefiftyone" and have him coordinate the track sessions at the Maxton Mile as I do not have any contacts there...so I would be little help.

I have cancelled the Porsche Heat at the Auto-X event in Va. Beach in May, so no worries there.

Keep this thread updated with details on the Maxton weekend so everyone can plan accordingly.

Thanks.

Whoa! You go out of town on business and suddenly you are some sort of Maxton Mile superhero? Hahaha. I've actually never been there but I'd like to go. Since CPR kind of nominated me a few posts back I'll fire off some emails and check with some contacts I have in the area. BRB...

A feeler email has been sent to ECTA. My buddy says they are super nice people there and we should have a great time. I posted a poll on what weekend here: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...come-vote.html

Well...not really

Me and a few other local 44/51's are still going since I opened my big mouth and got a Porsche heat

Always room for more ....I am kind of obligated to fill up the heat now. I hate to have to call my 350Z guys, so come on!

ANNNNNDDDD....the poker run for Saturday is still a go. If you do not know what a Poker run is:

-You have 5 cities, usually about an hour apart, with a Hooters (or whatever) in each one.
-You begin at Hooters #1 and get a card, then proceed to #2 and get another card, then proceed to #3 etc....
-At the last stop (your fifth card), you see who has the best poker hand of the group. That guy wins the pot (around $250.00)

The one with the fastest overall time gets a wild card. The slowest overall time a $20 penalty. 3 of the 5 legs (no pun intended) are routed on unfamaliar backroads using a provided map (rally style). However, you must arrive in the pre-determined parameters....meaning to quick and you are also penalized. This is to keep people from driving like absolute maniacs.

I may have made that sound more complicated than it need be...it is pretty simple. You get a good spirited drive....5 hooter stops....and a cash prize for being quick and lucky. Then we go check out Rennlists' own band "Fine Swiss Cheese"...then Auto-X Sunday away.

So come on Costas....btw, I'll be out @ Victory this saturday night
