Sorry, couldn't resist a liitle pitch here.....

I wonder if it would work better with deeper teeth in the trigger wheel- it might give you a little crisper signal
LOL.....

Duke ! Still working on that missing " link" You should be underground by now , it's december

Ok, under boost and free rev is a very different problem. The ecu doesn't care if your under boost or not. It just wants a signal. If it was only under boost, I would say you might have a plug, ignitor, wire, list goes on, problem..

Regarding lower counts, the Nissan and I think the Subaru's use more teeth than the 951 and using the stock VR sensors, they work fine. You have a unique problem to your car. I got your email and responded..

ewww thats mean ever since that e36 shnizer CSL i've had a weakness for army green . Send a few emails to LINK and get on the MRT forum good set ups like the Motec and the link have good ajustable filters to get past this interfernce issue .
are you doing full seq entail?

if running a dual pick up rig too many teeth can be trouble as the sync signal will pick up 2 different Ref signals if there is any cam timing swing from cambelt
about 12 teeth is plenty to get fast rpm resolution that was a specific question i asked at motec school

i guess the batery and charge cale are trouble for you if they are up front

basicly Halls are easier and require less clever ness in the ecu but Magnetics are far more robust and as you have a pretty good box (link )you should be able to sort it out
