Closed loop parameters? Bosch Oxygen Sensor Which one?
I am just starting to tume my 3.0L 951 with a wideband and SMT6 and have a couple of questions:
There are two Bosch "Universal" 3 Wire 02 sensors listed 15726 and 15735. Does it make any difference which one I use? I just installed a used 951 02 sensor that I had lying around and it seems to be working OK. I want to install a new one just to be sure.
Can anyone tell me what parameters are used to tell the DME to go into closed loop and open loop? I understand that in cold start and WOT its open loop and at constant throttle cruising its closed loop. Exactly what tells the DME to switch modes? TPS, MAF signal , RPM ??? If anyone knows exactly what parameters and sensor voltages are used, I would greatly appreciate it.

I guess I scared everyone off talking about what parameters are used to determine open and closed loop, although I'm sure someone out there knows the answer. I did find out from Russel Berry that apparently whenever you accelerate it goes into open loop.
