You had to ask. I didn't know Aussies used words such as Watcha? You folks have perfect english. This list making you slip a little?

I came home from a little wine/food shopping spree at Costco and pulled into the garage. The next morning the car wouldn't start. I checked a few things and found no fuel pressure. Then I find that there is no power at the pump. I have standalone and wanted to see where the fuel pump wiring was, so I could quickly, or at least most efficiently begin the process of elimination.

I was able to get in touch with SFR and spoke with Rickie this morning. He did the wiring on the TEC GT. They are almost 100% sure that they bypassed the factory fuse and relay. If this is correct, I now know why I get no power at the fuse at the factory location.

I switched the relays on the TEC board, and still have no power to the fuel pump. We are going to run new wires to the fuel pump this afternoon from the TEC board and see if we get some power. If we do, we'll just run new wiring and call it another upgrade. Should get a few HP out of this and another 20 years of reliable service......LOL.

I bet it's just the wiring. I was hoping it was the relay, but I don't think I'm that lucky this time.

I'm ordering some extra relays too. I didn't know till NOW that the factory fuel pump relay and fuse are no longer used. This is why folks that do all their own work love their cars more better....A new slang for you Pat!

Vroom Vroom........

Yes, it was the pump. I didn't know that the standalone system shuts off the power to the pump after 8 seconds........lesson learned thanks to your brother, Mike.

We pulled out the defective fuel pump, fuel filter, and checked the internal screen in the tank. I'm ordering a new filter and Bosche O44 pump and installing it on Wednesday.

I'm amazed that the pump went out so soon. These things usually last for more than 5K miles. Must have gotten something past the filter with the new fuel tank.

Have fun in Texas over the weekend. Say hi to Steve and give him my congratulations.

We won't be back until late, late sunday. Especially if Sean has his way, we'll be coming back early Monday haha.

But I'll be able to stop by Monday or Tuesday evening most likely.
