I love the setup because the pop ups are a thing from the 80s, as no cars today have them anymore, I saved the weight plus the space and added better aerodynamics to my car without the restriction of airflow, I bought the glass Eurolights which were very expensive ($300 maybe)? and the I bought 4 H3 bulbs, 55 watts each at the auto parts, then I put them on and my mechanic did all the wiring, so that I can use both inner and both outter seperately or together, I usually use them together on the highway and outter for regular street, which looks better plus covers a broader area...

I want to do something like this. So I need euro lenses and then 4 bulbs. Could you pm me any related info. How long it took you're mechanic? how much it cost? etc?

I would like to have someone do mine up. Do you think I could get away with 75w bulbs? I want them bright.

It's really easy, you could go with 75, but it will be like high beams, I go with 55just not to blind anybody, overall you have good visibility. My mechanic used a relay to do it, I'll ask him the details....

I bought them on Ebay over two years ago, there is a seller there who sells them (or used to), they are glass and very nice quality, made in Germany...

Paragon sells them. So does LR IIRC. Be careful going with anything higher than 55W bulbs, as you'll have to upgrade your light harness to a larger gauge wire.

Thanks, I love it when people (like you and I) who know what kind of car it is, pull up next to me and give me a thumbs up, complimenting me on how it looks....it happens quite often.

Derek... let's not be ridiculous. (Nice E30 avatar, btw).

LFA - slick setup! I'm working on a similar setup as well on a guards red car. I stopped using the popups last year after I converted the USA fogs to HIDs (with a little re-aiming as well) and I need the extra room for a MAF just the same as you. Thanks for showing me how good it's going to look!
