At that price, even though I'm in line for CPR's splitter, put me down for one...

Hi all

Thank you for your comments and feedback.

Please note that this splitter was far more challenging to develop and is more complex to manufacture than most of the splitters available on the market that do not have the GT2 / DTM style the corner elements...

I have seen the other thread about the CPR splitter which I think is a great and durable product...I have my concerns though if the same construction technique can be applied to this design of splitter...I guess it would have to be nearly solid and not hollow in order to stay stable also at very high speeds...

Anyway, Mark and I went through the very best price we could offer you guys in the US for that new product... We ended up with 299$ also to be considered as a Christmas offer for Rennlisters...

So who is in for that price?

Cheers

Beni

Yes it is (CPR V1, V2) one piece solid heat formed ABS/High Impact Plastic. Thermo formed for the rake and contour lines, but solid (not hollow) one piece construction.

Now need for concern, however.

Don't fell obligated, my friend, His piece looks brilliant as well. These guys are a top notch outfit who have been around a long time. Buy with confidence from them :)

This is neither here nor there, but with a splitter made out of fiberglass, you're going to need to get it painted. I know that for a red car, a splitter made out of ABS (which is black) doesn't necessarily need to get painted. So, keep that in mind I guess.

That said, this splitter is absolute sex. Nicely done, Beni.

I think it's f***ing awesome to have so many great options available to us w.r.t. splitters. Nicely done, Patrick and Beni!

The difference between C/f and f/g for a splitter is marginal at best. They'll both crack and the weight won't be noticeable. Cost will be though :)

Any idea what this splitter is? It was installed into friends 951 when he bought it.

good call Pat resist the carbon bling urge .

333pg333 11-25-2008 07:19 AM

Oh it's fine in certain places, but that's not where I'd spend my money on c/f knowing how vulnerable it is. If people want c/f everywhere, that's their prerogative, but I agree I don't like the bling for bling's sake.

Beni, how will it hold up in a racing application?

MitchB 11-25-2008 12:52 PM

Great splitter, Beni... Now - care to tell us about those side skirts..?
