Thumbs up Rennbay SALE: Complete Ecode Headlights, Harness and Bulbs $185

This seems to be the time of year, right after the time change, that everyone wants to upgrade their lighting. Since I have been getting a bunch of calls on what to order I put everything together in one easy package... then discounted it over $70 from the per piece price.
This kit includes everything Wipeout (Darren) used in his H4 Lighting Roundup found in the "How To" Archive on Rennlist.

The kit includes a new Headlight Relay Harness, two Hella E-Code lenses with boots, a set of 90/130 Yellowstar bulbs and a set of standard 55/60 halogen bulbs to keep as spares. All of this for $185.

This fits all 944 models including the NA,Turbo, S, S2 and 924s

You can find this complete setup on sale for $185 until Monday Here.

Just curious why you'd need a spare set of standard halogen bulbs.

So when you get pulled over for running illegal overwattage bulbs, you can put the spares in. BTDT

I'd be interested if these were the German made SAE M/ECE lenses and stock wattage lamps (like Tungsram Megalicht or Narva RangePower+50).

I'd also like to see different lenses available other than Hella. Cibie and Wipac come immediately to mind.

Just to play with like in the H4 roundup. You can put in the lenses with stock wattage bulbs, then go to the harness with stock wattage bulbs and see the difference there... then go to the big boys.

Um.. they are German Made Hella SAEMP76, E4 ECE lenses and we do include stock wattage lamps as extras, see above.

Cibies crack. Hellas don't. Thats the only difference.

What would the price be without the extra bulbs? I just don't see the need for them.

The same... I have a bunch (too many) of the standard wattage bulbs here so they are "free" with your order.

This is a deal guys. I have had Hellas for 10 years without issues. The Hellas alone are an upgrade from the stock dim lights.

I see the stock wattage, but what brand and model are they? Are the lenses actually made in Germany? Last Hella lenses I bought weren't (made in Brazil, IIRC) - I sent those back.

Why would the Cibies crack unless they're not installed correctly? Are the Hella lenses plastic and not glass? I run Cibies in another vehicle (that has pop-up headlights as well) and never had an issue with them.

Our Hella lenses are glass, made in Germany, and are not made in Brazil. The bulbs are Hella as well.

7" round ECE Cibies crack when you use higher wattage bulbs regardless of installation technique (?). I do not know if it is due to the thickness or temper of the glass they use but feel free to apply the search function for user experiences with them. The Hella ECE lenses do not tend to crack and hold up much better in all conditions.

Thanks Travis

Is the sale only for the kit? I'm building my own harness using Hella 30A relays, Hella mountable relay blocks and Hella HD spring-loaded H4 connectors. I'll be using my own bulbs too. I've been looking for a set of Marchal E2 Amplilux lenses (which actually uses a H1 and H3 bulb in each lens) , but I don't think I'm going to find a set for less than $500. Maybe I can get lucky and find a set of Marchal H4 flat faces.
