Nice wheel!

BTW, that carpet looks really fresh. Care to share a little about it?

Nice wheel! How did you set up the steering wheel to deal with the airbag?

Also what seats are those?

Dave951,
The carpet is a felt I sourced and customized from Appbiz. If you do a search with my user name I posted some info/pics back in July, I believe it's titled 'RS Carpet Kit'.

Doug951,
I removed the stock wheel, disabled the passenger side air bags and snipped wires corresponding to pins #5 and #7. Additional info here, look under the How-To section: www.944s2.com

Hi Vinster,
The pedals are from Rennline. The throttle pedal is their adjustable pedal and really helped me set up for heal-toe shifting.

The aluminum plate I purchased from McMaster-Carr and cut/ground to fit.

Nice...eventually I'm going to do an RS door panel in black leather/vinyl so less Shamu more Stuttgart, no.

Are you looking to get rid of your old wheel?

Curious as to how well the felt holds up to standard wear? Does it go flat quickly and look blotchy like most felt? Loved your interior before hand, the steering wheel helps finish it off even nicer. Need a new shift **** now!

ritzblitz,
I purchase a second set of door panels that I plan to convert to RS door panels, I will either keep or sell the linen panels. Not sure if i'll get to this project over the winter or not. I'll be sure and post pics when I do.

Doug,
The coin tray can be purchased from 944online. Link: http://www.944online.com/cgi-bin/ASI...kukey_20052088
Also, the seats are Recaro Speeds with hole for 5-point race harnesses.

Kyle,
I am planning to sell the stock wheel, it is in great shape. If you search for my RS Carpet Kit thread you will see pics of it. Send me a pm if your interested.

bigdeano,
The felt is holding up nicely, it has not flattened out or balled up at all. The aluminum plate protects the floor board from my heals other than that it's just cleaning up the dead bugs and dry leaves, I typically drive with my windows down, lol.

New shifter, not sure I don't mind the stock one. Maybe once I install a short shift linkage at the transmission.
I'm trying to transform this 951 to an RS style (as Porsche would have) I don't want it to look to aftermarket. I just mounted my Inovatice XD-16 gauge in the glove box to keep the light show out of the cockpit. I will data log eventually and can use the gauge currently to verify high/low A/F values after a ride. On track days I will remove the glove box door and have a clear view of the gauge.
I'll have to post a picture tomorrow, although I have yet to connect the LM-1, just the gauge is installed.

Any info on the cassette holder area?
At lest european less equipped 944 N/A had that, for example i had a '87 with it. That car had also manual windows.
Same part can be found from 968 CS
