Question oil pressure fluctuation

I searched the archives but did not find an answer. Until the car warms up, I am getting fluctating oil pressure readings. The gauge bounces between 3 and 5. I also am getting what sounds like an electric fan. Once the car warms up, I have no problems. Any idea's on what I should be looking for? Thanks

Chris

A loose connection on the oil pressure sensor. Located next to the oil filter.

would that cause the pump or fan noise that I am getting as well? Or is that perhaps unrelated?

The noise should be unrelated. As Brian suggests, check the connections on the oil pressure sender, and you may need to replace the sender if the connections appear OK.
