The big advantage is they will allow for extra room for your airfilter,they will not ballon if you pressureize your coolant system via blown headgasket and they will not discolor.So there are a couple of advantages aside from the aesthetics.

Thanks for the info Tim...Is it also true that the expansion tank has a larger capacity?

Does that help in the cooling process at all...Or, is that really minimal?

so Tim -
what about an inverse tank?
One that can be mounted on the pass side of car.

NA style without the turbo pump return port (dry turbo).
I would love to replace the winshield pump with the propper coolant tank.
Then I could get freaky with the intake filter/assmbly

Imagine you are not tooled to flip the fabrication?

We cannot do the tank on the passenger side unless we did a one off unit and it would take too much time,unfortunately.

Tim we run a 2nd runoff tank from the stock one. It allows for the overflow when really hot at the track. Would there be a problem to tap your tank for something like this?
