Default Here we go, another track car

I am getting started on a DE/Track car, I will be looking for help and advice along the way.

I am currently looking for suggestions on dash set up in another thread, I just started removing some interior yesterday afternoon, so I thought I would post some pics if someone could post I am limited to dial, 26k. , Just let me know your email adress.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks, Email sent. Dial up is the worst, I just can see doing satellite, I hear it is not all its cracked up to be. Also, I barely get a cell signal so an air card is out as well. Waiting impatently for DSL service to become available.

BTW did you get the rear wing finished.

No the wing hasn't been installed yet. I'll PM you sometime and let you know what's going on with that.

How's the motor coming on the track car? Is the car going to be ready for the DE in November?

Actually I think I will Use the street car untill I can solo, when I get the interior clean and all the sound deadning and glue off, I will spray the inside then install a roll cage. then the dash, by that time the engine should be ready.

Dr.,
I have some new drawings for some gauge pods....really really nice

I also have a "new" wing for your track car...I think...yes...they would do well on a track car.

Your 2- 4piecekits are slated for the 24th...FYI.

Sorry for the hi-jack.

OT for just a second. How long and / or how difficult was it to get the stock dash off? I've got an uncracked dash to swap out for my cracked one and was curious of any details we may need to know.
tia
Good luck with the car also.

Having never done it before and using Clarks write up it took me about 4-5 hours to take one out and install a new one. I'm slow.

It helps shorten the removal time if you aint puttin' a dash back in....

Ok, that's shorter than I'd imagined. Good news, thanks.

Terry is correct, not planning on reinstalling, it was done quick. I do plan to have this dash recovered and the in will put in my street car. I did not follow clarks garage, untill I got to a sticking point, since I was not concerned of breaking anything. When I read through it it seemed very though. Definately not too difficult, just time consuming to make sure all goes back in correctly.
