Default Help identify this turbo

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160285617158

I purchased this turbo to run w/ AFM and 3 inch TP and CB. Anyone recognize this turbo and if so how is the performance. If it does spool by 2600 as claimed by seller I will be happy. I have bought parts from him before which were as described. I also have a 27/6 on its way for a track car w/ MAF. The builder of that turbo thought this was a stage 5 and would be a slow spool.

Any ideas on this turbo appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

I would like to know if this is the one he took off his car, or the one they (Josh B) parted out that was going to be put on his car.

yeah, I really really really had to stop myself from bidding on this, and the fact that I couldn't find much info on it also held me back.

I too wondered why they decided to sell it rather than keep it.

That looks to be a #8 wheel, not a #6. Probably a #6 housing machined out to accept a #8 wheel. Very similar to my old t04b from SFR.

i think we all spend a bit much time wondering about it .
it's bigerr than the one you've got it was a super deal as long as it works it will make plenty of power . you will be ale to size it up better when you get it and measure wheels .
nice work enjoy

He's a great guy, you can trust anything he is selling IMO.

Actually, it's the turbo that came off Luke's gray car that Josh and I bought from Dave that I was going to put on my car. But I ended up picking up something a little bigger

It ran great in the gray car with the mods it had.

The gray car smoked WAY too much for my liking when we took it to lunch that day. Most likely was the tune and not the turbo though.

Well, what color was the smoke? Blue could be trouble, black is not turbo.

My guess is that the turbo is a TO4B w/8, just like the SFR Stage 2 (IIRC). There were a lot of those turbos being sold in the past. They perform well and for a good price, it's a good turbo.
