A K27/8 will definitely be slower spooling, especially in transient situations.
I have a K27/8 on currently, previously I had a K27DR (/8 turbine wheel in a /6 housing) and like it much better for a street & occasional track-car.
A LR S48 or S53 would be a much better choice for a fast-spooling, decent-power 951, IMO. (yes, I'm ignoring GT/GTX turbo, because they are not a bolt-on proposition)

i went from a k27/6 to a to4e 50 trim then was looking at a 60-1 hifi, then i thought fu*c it i'll do it properly and go full Garrett turbo GT3076R then i though ehhh i'll spend that extra got a GTX turbine... i also wanted a .63 a/r rear housing but couldn't find one since TiAL had none in stock and wasn't giving us a date when they where producing more so i located a .82 which turned out the biggest & baddest turbo you would want on a 2.5L 8V. a gt3582R is just to big for a stock block where the rpm limit and head because a huge bottle neck.
