Bosch Zeitronix WBO2 sensors...any reason they aren't interchangeable?

I recall AEM sells a replacement sensor as well. MUCH cheaper than others I had seen.
Imagine they are interchangeable but would want to verify.
I ended up putting my WB O2 in the back section of the "test tube" (where cat would be). Wiring worked out nice and away from the turbo/exhaust heat plumbed with the path of fuel lines.
