Just pulled some hybrid T4Ebay turbo off a 1.8 liter '02 Toyots MRS. Just ridiculous. Wouldn't spool. Tried to though. Fixing that problem now.
Oh God! lol Yeah, there is some stupid stuff out there for some Japanese cars, more of it due to the whole wave of Chinese knock off stuff and crappy Chinese turbo kits. For example, for some Hondas (typically B18's, H22's and other small displacement 4cyl's), there are actually cheapo turbo kits out there for under $1k that come with a full sized T70 (yes that's correct, a 70mm T4!) T4 turbo, and they even have the gall to even mention that it's somehow responsive. That's almost always the Chinese knock off turbo stuff though.
