Default Saikou Michi Catch Can Surprise

WOW!!! I'm in shock....have been driving the car around easy, short runs of 20 30 miles on low boost and have logged around 300 miles on my rebulid. Just kinda getting to the point where I feel everything is as it should be (still have some minor tuning issues) before REALLY having some fun with the car. Drove down to a local autoX event (Irvine, CA) to check it out. Looks like a S-load of fun, hoping next month the car will be ready. Heading home I took the long way through some canyon roads in the area for "fun". When I got home thought id see if there was any oil in the CC....whoa!! 6oz!!! Is this normal?

I had a Lindsey Breather tank on for a short time and had drilled out the top of the AOS as recommemded by LR. More than likely my problem? Agree? or are there other possible issues.
Thanks as always for your help.

Remember, a catch can does exactly that, it catches it all. How much was oil and did you have some condensation in there as well? 300 miles, you're just getting the rings seated - what oil are you using (not to start another oil thread)?

Hey Bret, I realize that's what it's intended for, just didn't think it would be so much, so soon... was really surprised. Though, you bring up a good point I didn't take into account...seating the rings. I had a A/F problem of running REALLY rich and was afraid the pistons may have gotten washed too much and did some damage and/or my AOS is contributing to it. It's running fairly well now, A/F is fluctuating though between 14:4 & 15:1. Thinking it might be a faulty injector. Anyway, back to topic...How long does it take to seat in the rings typically? I'm using Valvoline VR1 20-50
Thanks for chiming in...

BTW- would there be some separation to determine oil vs condensation?

Let the contents from the catch can settle over night in a clear container. Oil will be on top, water will be on the bottom with a pretty fine distinction line.

Yep...poured the contents from the catch can into a plastic bottle. Will check this morning.

BTW, i ordered mine last week and it just shipped today. They told me they have been very busy with the summer orders. Very nice to see it does what its supposed to. All for the sake of a happier running engine.. .
