boost problem?

This is a TEXTBOOK description of pinched exhaust or clogged catylist.
Your 38MM is not causing boost creep.

The problem is that it is being forced to vent ALL energy, which is greater in higher gears.

I am not sure I am following you here. I'm pretty sure that it is not the cat, I had that gutted long ago. I will attempt to crawl under the car tomorrow and check the orientation of the WG, or I'll do the lazy thing and take it to my mechanics lift. I'll update you guys on what I find.

Our cars sometimes get a collapsed exhaust (the exhaust is two layers in places)

I'll check for that. I had a 3" SFR stainless exhaust installed a few years ago. But, would that explain the lack of boost control from my MBC?

My tial was in backwards, which is being fixed as I type. Hopefully, that will fix the problem. Thanks to everyone that helped.

Sweet!!!!!!!!! I am up and running strong. It was a pain in the *** to dial the MBC to 15psi.They are really sensitive, but I am good now. Thanks to all who helped.
