AC switch

I believe that it is actually part of the heater control unit and may be hardwired in some models. Pelican Parts show part number 944-653-922-00-M100 Air Conditioning Switch, Compressor, Only for Control Assembly With Replaceable Switches, 944 (2/85-89), 944 Turbo (1986-89), 924S/944S (1987-88), 944S2 (1989-91), 968 (1992-95)
To remove the heater control unit, remove the sliders and the cover plate - carefully because they are all fragile (IIRC you do not have to remove the *****). There are 4 screws that hold the unit in place and these need to be removed. I find it easier to remove the instrument surround / HVAC grill to disconnect the 3 connectors that connect to the control unit. Be really careful with the control unit because the plastic is really brittle.
