HMR Radiators

We have similar versions down here that can be custom made to whatever specs, but I've heard that the problem with full welded rads (v's OEM with molded plastic parts) is that the welds are more likely to crack with no warning and you're possibly stranded with a dangerously overheating car. The other issue is if you have a big front mount i/c that covers up any radiator in which you feel that you need a bigger aftermarket one. Hmm. The Spaal fans are meant to be very good too.

Hey Jason, how did they fail? Did you go off track?
They mentioned you need to take a few precautions when installing, such as using a foam cusion and making a retainer bracket.
Jon, anytime, just let me know, maybe Dan will want to take a trip with you.

John,
The first one may have been due to the install from my previous shop, because HMR pointed out that epoxy had been applied to the radiator! So, no fault of HMR in my book!
The second one failed at one of the weld points while doing a race at Pocono...HMR refused to make good on it, so I decided to go another route because of their refusal to stand behind their product...
Actually, they don't make the radiator, they have somebody make it to their spec.
