just found out my oxygen sensor is borken and was wondering if anyone had a new one sitting around that they could ship to me tomorrow first class mail as paragon charges 50 dollars for overnight shipping.

to jim-- now i have good vacuum (17-18) at idle on cold start but my afr is around 10.5. if i unplug the connector for the oxygen sensor nothing changes, so carlos thinks it may be that causing the rich idle

You can pick up a universal 3-wire from any auto parts store. They usually have them in stock. Bosch part #15726 . Cost was $49 though my fathers shop, list price i think was $59. I replaced mine about two weeks ago with it. All you need to do is reuse the old connector and splice the new O2 sensor into it. All connectors are included to complete the job.

Well you have, of course, given the sensor a good 3 minutes, or so to come up to 600 F.??

The other thing to check is the DME temp sensor. If its not working, the car will never come out of open loop (default rich AFR) and has the same effect of the O2 sensor not being connected at all.
