Can anyone help me? Turbo (944)

I bought a 1987 turbo good Car but the car start up won't kick over could it be the reference sensor or crank sensor or what not understanding this?

There are great trouble shooting procedures at www.clarks-garage.com

does the tach move when you try to start it?

Hey Frank - not to jump into every thread of yours but there are a lot of things that could be wrong...

- no fuel pressure at the rail
- no spark
- no injector pulse(bad harness)
- bad/gummed up injectors
- bad ref sensors
- mis-adjusted ref sensors
- waterlogged engine computers
- bad DME relay
- bad grounds
- etc

Clarks Garage is a great resource. I suspect on that turbo you are going to have to start with the basics and work your way up testing and replacing the various components.

If you dont already have one, get a multimeter. It's often your best friend at diagnosing problems with these cars.

You really need to be more specific. What is your definition of 'kicking over'?

If it cranks at a good speed, then it could be sensors, spark and any of the other replies in this thread.

If it's not turning over at all, it could be a starter or battery. If it's turning over slowly, definitely a battery.
