Default 951 engine noise?...video included...is now fixed after changing oil!

this has been a noise my 951 has made since I bought it. Is this a bad noise and what does it mean its almost like lifter tick but doesn't sound like loud engine knock but it is still loud.

Seriously, it sounds like your lifters. What kind of oil are you running?

I will change the oil today is 5W-20 synthetic good

for that amount of noise I'd be looking for something that ends in 50 or 60.

how about Castrol Syntec SAE 5W-50 Full Synthetic
its the only oil with 50-60 end rating

Did you buy the car with the high flow injectors? They can make a racket, and I personally only use 20w50 for summer driving.

DONT use valvoline i had bad exp with them use castrol 20/50

Sort of a blanket statement don't you think? I've used Valvoline VR-1 20W-50 for years on 3 different 944's and had absolutely no issues at all. I'm not alone on this either.

I know.... i have made the same statement before and have recved the same comment before. I used to use VR-1 2050 and i saw i had gunk and my oil psi would drop after some hard laps. when i switched over to Castrol 20/50 the gunk went away and oil psi improved. Thats good proof for me.
