Default Pilot Bearing Dimensions

Does any one know the dimensions of the pilot bearing?

I ask this because the previous pilot bearing was seized and wore the end of the driveshaft and I'd like to machine the tip down a little go to a smaller inner diameter bearing.

Or should I just weld the tip and machine back to original size? Will the heat from welding bend the shaft?

I wouldn't weld it. I'd either look for a used torque tube or have a machine shop machine you a bushing. How much slop is in it? There is a bit of movement between the bearing and the shaft - it's not a tight fit.

I talked with the machine shop and we're going to machine a bushing for it.

And for anyone interested in the dimensions of the pilot bearing:

inner diameter: 15mm
out diameter: 35mm
width: 11mm
