the Dalles, I bet most have never even heard of the Dalles.
Not me, but have some family in that area. You traveling or moving?

Closest is probably DRS in Troutdale. Don't know that I've seen anyone post from the Dalles.

I'd head out to meet you guys but will be out of town for my wedding.

I'm spending the summer in Hood River with the 951 - just down the street from the Dalles. It would be great to meet up with you guys. Keep me posted

So what's the speed limit on I-84 if you are in a 951? Get a little body roll on the bend at Celilo?

I made the Portland to Pendleton r/t run several times a week (and sometimes several times a day) for several years and was never aware of that road! Looks like a great drive.

That's a great road but this time of year is packed with gawkers in RV's.

Spring and post memorial day are the best times to get some clear drives. There are no greater concentrations of waterfalls in the United States than in the Gorge.

If you have time, the Oneonta Gorge is a great short hike. Park next to the old tunnel entrance and then you can hike up the creek to an awesome waterfall and pool. Even better you get a chance to do a little bouldering challenge... if you can cross about 10 feet on the rocks you are great. Otherwise you get a bit of a soaker Not that that's a bad thing when it is 100 degrees like it is now.

Sounds like a great drive... we're headed to Prosser for a wedding next Saturday in the 986S.
