Intermittant Spark Cutout
This started three days ago, I pulled the car in the garage the night before, no prob.
Next morning the car would crank but no start, tried it a couple of times more, same thing. Put in a new DME relay, same thing. I thought I smalled gas so I pulled the coil wire and tested for spark. First attempt, nothing. Second, got spark towards the end of the cranking. Put coil wire back on and started the car...
During the funrun yesterday this is what I noticed - it feels like the revlimiter kicking in.
-RPM's immediately drop 1k and then come back up, tach verifies this.
-I though it was vibration oriented, but it can happen at any time.
-Latest engine work was months ago for smog check.
A search indicates a bad speed sensor.. ???
