Default stripped LCA mount

I know I've seen a thread talking about others who have encountered stripped mounts for the Caster Block mount. IIRC people were opening up the frames to weld in a ne reciever nut. Anyone recall this?
An yes, I HAVE SEARCHED.

Good GAWD, why??? Just time-sert it and be done with it. I'd say at least 25% of the 944's I have done caster blocks on wind up with problems, and pretty much any car that is going to see track time SHOULD get timeserted.

Anyone who is opening the floorpan to repair this needs to be removed from working on these cars, imo.

My racecar has a Helicoil to repair both bolt holes on the drivers side mount. I assume Cervelli did this when he was racing it and it held up fine.

I stand corrected on the nut breaking loose inside there, I've only encountered stripped ones. Thats got to be a major PITA, tho.
