no mods. stock timing. well i finaly gota call from the shop its supposedly under warrenty under. apparently the machined my #4 crank journel 5000ths under spec. which is bullsh*t. and used the same rod bolts. so whoot and becus it was 5000ths under spec its not under warrenty. they told me before machining occured it needed to be machined. they didnt say what they were goig to machining it too. they never said anything about being under spec. so ****. basically somthing failed. i cracked my crank in half and sent a rod thru my #4 cylinder wall. yay! i love that shop. quic everyone take ur cars there!!!!! im kidding btw.

so they rebuilt your motor, it blew up, but it's not their fault because they measured it to be out of spec after it blew up....hmm

Lemme get this straight...

1) THEY machined down your crank, correct?

2) THEY did something wrong (seeing as that was the cylinder that failed)

3) THEY are not honoring these facts?

Burn them, but not in the literal sense. And please tell me the name of this shop, as I'm around Alamogordo/Las Cruces often and want to steer clear.

P.O.R.S.C.H.E. i had probolems with that shop when i was like 19 and ownd an 85/1 944NA. ****ers....

Let me ask you something...

Did they only do the rod bearings? As in, you spin a bearing and then they repair it with the engine in the car?

By the way, you should have never driven to the point where a rod shot through the block, im sure there were plenty of indications...

I would make them buy me a new engine. They shouldve measured correctly and if the crank was no good they shouldve let you know so you couldve bought another one before destroying the block. They owe you a new block and the labor to put it in imo.
