Default engine rebuild part 10

Finally got around to pulling the old engine a part last week and today I measured the end gap on the old rings. I measured 3 of the 4 pistons top rings and the best end gap I had was .128 inches! That along with the scored cylinders might have been why I was burning a little oil.
Can't wait to get the new engine together.

No I actually bought another block and I am just going to do a 2.5 liter engine. Do not have deep enough pockets to do a 2.8.
The reason I pulled the original engine was that I was burning a quart of oil every 250-300 miles. If I let the car sit for more than 2 or 3 days I had to replace the plugs in cylinders 1 and 2 as they would foul.
