I'll be sad if he did! I didn't know he had a turbo project underway!

My project was to make my 968 into a turbo. After months of reading and researching I decided to go with an 8v engine so I bought this head. But now I'm just short on money so I want to put off the project. If I can't find another 8v head later on, I'll gladly just go with a 16v engine. I still want a turbo though.

Heheh, the turbo's not even built yet and it's already draining my funds. How's the NSX?

Intake is pending sale.

The NSX is all good.....................gonna be at the Motoring J Style http://www.motoringjstyle.com/ event with about 30 other NSXs this Saturday in Vallejo. Should be about 400+ Japanese cars of all kinds at the show. Come out if you get the chance............unless of course you are a true p-car snob.

What year did you end up going with? If I were closer I'd be there!

Just waiting on paypal payment.

Roger, I will be back in the bay area this weekend. I'll see if I can spare some time on saturday - vallejo isn't exactly around the corner though, and I'm going to be busy fixing the 964. But trust me I'm not a p-car snob. I have my 968 for sale on CL and I have considered getting a 190E 2.6 instead of another p-car. In those 2.6's, you can drop in a 3.0 from the 300E with no hassle or adaptation necessary, at all.

Why are people after this intake? Is there a benefit to reshaping the 951 intake ports to match the 2.7 port, as I assume this intake has been? Or do you just use the intake and have a bad gasket match? Or do they not realize this? Not trying to screw up the sale but maybe the buyer does not get the port difference between 2.7 and 2.5 heads.

I'm trying to collect parts for a project and this would've been perfect. Unfortunately I passed.

Yes, I'm tempted to buy the head for the same reason. I miss having a turbo and I wish the 968 had another 100HP. On the other hand I could invest all the money I'd dump into the car and retire earlier, or travel more, or...

Maybe you could measure & post how much life there is left on this head - distance between the L-shaped protrusion on front corner and the sealing surface.
