I have a set of 16" R compound tires that I would like to use on my 89 Turbo S. Unfortunately I don't own any 16 rims for it. I've seen 16X7 and 16X8 cup wheels for reasonable prices. Does anyone know if the 7 inch whels will fit on the front of a Turbo S? I know 8" phone dials will fit.

I have a pair of 16X8 D90s which do fit the front. I guess I could look for another 2 8" d90s.

that was the original size of the fronts on the "S". They had 7 x 16 fronts and 9 x 16 rears. If you can get the 8", go for that size.

Turbo S cars came stock with Club Sport wheels (see sig). Those 7's fit fine.

Dont know what a 16" cup looks like, can you post a pic?

I think he means the 968 5-spoke 16" wheels. God, I'm tired of all this confusion over wheel nomenclature, all the dumb 968 guys started it.

Do the club sport 7" wheels have a different offset than other common 16x7 wheels? I forget.

Never heard of them called cups. OK.

Arash, when we doing another drive? I'm ready. My 7's w/ 951 part# says ET 65 for the offset. The 8's are <somewhat> clearly 52.3
