Has anyone installed these BMW seats in a 944?
I've been looking for a set of seats for my 88 Turbo S and was wondering if these BMW E30 seats can be installed. They look like a compromise between the standard and Sport 944 seats.

Does anyone know exactly which later model Porsche seats will bolt into a 944. It seems that 993 seats are actully cheaper and more available than 944 seats.

Ive been looking for a set of 993 sport seats for about two years and haven't been able to find a set (and they command a premium). 993 seats will bolt right in, but 986/996 seats are where the "bolt-in" ability ends.

Those dont look like e30 seats. they look really heavy but confy. You prob cant fit those in there because they seem pretty wide.

You are right they are probably not E30 seats. I pulled the picture off of Ebay. Here are the dimensions:
They are 35" tall x seat cushion is 21" wide (22 1/2" total width) x 21" deep, seat bottom is 10" off the floor

In my opinon, those seats are actually better than the newer bmw seats.
They held me in place a lot better than the later "Vader" seats found in the E36 M3.
The only problem is when you install those you may not be able to use the emergency brake anymore. They are also a lot taller.

what exactly is an e30, e36, etc? All i know is a 325 is a 3 series 2.5l, a 540 is a 5 series 4.0l, and so on. Ive worked on them on occasion but never knew where people come up with these numbers.
