Default Very Nice

I was just wondering as to what you decided to use for a clutch disk?

+1 and what KEP was that? I have a stage I that I am going to put it in. I am using a 930 disk with it.

So you can reinstall the engine with the crossover and headers all bolted up??

after some research, i used the 930 clutch disc, part number 930.116.014.02. some advantages off the top of my head;
1) plug-and-play stock fit
2) same OD but smaller ID so you get more clutch friction surface area
3) thicker pad so you get more clutch friction material
4) very street-able, virtually stock engagement and feel
5) made by porsche, can't beat that
6) around $70 cheaper ! than the stock 951 disc. what's up with that?

here are some pics comparing the old and new;

i have KEP stage2, good for 600ft-lbs of torque. the stage1 would not have been able to handle the power this motor makes.

you can remove the engine with the crossover and headers all bolted up, so of course you can install the engine with the crossover and headers all bolted up.

here's a pic of my hand-painted TDC markers;

1) i have yet to see any definitive before/after dyno proof that shows any difference between the stock downpipe vs. 3". if you know of one, please let me know.

2) i like the triangulation support/brace provided by the stock downpipe flange bolting to the engine block. after being rear-ended three times, i think this is something that would save the turbo from damage in case the rear of the exhaust gets hit.

Hey nize, I know what you mean when you said you wanted to keep the stock down pipe. I looked at the offerings of the usual suspects and none of them used the stock bolt on the stock flange. I decided to cut the flange off and make a 3 " downpipe. When i did, i was shocked with what I found. The outside diameter of the stock pipe is 2.5" but it has a 2.25" inner pipe as well. The outside pipe is an insulator. That is what made me want to make a 3" down pipe. My reasoning was that the outlet for the turbo I chose is 3" so may not be a good idea when trying to move as much exhaust as possible. for 40.00 I got a 3" 304L SS U-Shape. Make 2 cuts and use tape to hold it together for fitting then weld it. Instead of spending 600.00 spend maybe 4 hours
