Default Front brakes creaking!

After a few hard stops by front brakes have developed a terrible creak coming from the caliper/rotor area. The creak can be felt in the pedal and happens when a medium to heavy pedal effort is applied. Also present when the car is off. I just put new brakes on about 1000 miles ago. The creaking started about 100 miles ago. Today I took everything apart to inspect and clean. Everything looks normal. Took the car for a drive and no creaking until a hard stop was done and then the creaking began again. Any ideas what this could be?

you sure it's from the caliper and not the pedal itself?

This is usually the calipers flexing due to corrosion. Northern cars tend to get this way after a while. I'm guessing your car's an 86. You can live with it, if it bugs you enough bolt in 87+ calipers from a non S car, and obviously earlier than 89.

I suppose you could rebuild your calipers, but seems like too much trouble to me.

guess like it looking like new calipers, the noise is driving me nuts. is there any change in braking due to the larger pistons in the 87+ calipers?
