Looking for confirmation on using the Master Blaster 2 coil without the resistor it recommends. I've read several threads here on the subject and the opinion seems divided. Anybody using this coil on a 951 with no problems? If you're running it...what positives or negatives if any. Thanks

I'm using a blaster coil without a resistor. Has been working fine for over a year.
The resistor, from what I've read, is only used with an old-style points ignition system.

I'm running one I had laying around when my stock coil started misfiring. No problems, no resistor.
I've also been running one for about 10 years in my Scirocco with no resistor. It has a similar ignition to the 951 I think.
