Default rear speaker replacement wtf?

I'm trying to replace the rear speakers but I've found that the fake leather seam of the rear seat panel appears to be sealed into the window molding. what should I do about this? should I take a razor and cut around the seam? should i just pull it apart? if i cut it will it go back together clean or should I leave it alone and not replace the speakers?

Default you have to remove the glass to get the speakers out

Just remove the window... in and out before you know it.

Remove rear window on each quarter panel. This is the only way to not damage the panels! The window is in a rubber gasket that sits in a sill on the quarter panel...Just start at one point and gently pry the gasket out, towards the out side of the car, just work your way around the window it will get to a point where it comes rite out. p.s you will remove the window, and gasket in one piece(all one unit)

20 seconds.

step 1: sit inside your car, feet pressed on the window
step 2: make sure someone is there to catch the window
step 3: firmly and evenly push into the window, it should 'pop' out

It doesn't take long at all to remove the glass. You should be able to push on one of the corners from the inside and get the rubber gasket to unseat, and then you can push it the rest of the way out. It may be necessary to lay down across the back seat and push it out with your legs, but I doubt it. I got mine out easily by pushing on the rear lower corner with my hand and then working it out the rest of the way - maybe everybody else on here is just really weak or something?

Make sure you are reaching around the b-pillar to catch the window, or have a towel or something for it to land on, so that it doesn't fall and break when it comes out.

i've actually never removed glass before on my cars.
Lube up the rubber seal and with a plastice peice similar in shape to a screwdrier you run along the rubber and pull out the trim along the way, goes back in similar way.
This is much easier for me, but if its 20 seconds to remove the window just pop it out. I developed the other method and im pretty good at it that way so never bothered to try the other way.

I've done it both ways and I found it was much easier to pop the window out. Especially if its the first time you're pulling the panel, because the vinyl is glued in place around the window frame and will be a PITA to get off with the seal in place.
