I've used remans on a few '44s and '51s with no issues.

 

My race car has a rebuilt pump... got it from Vertex, but still.... fine entering season 3.

Spare motor I am building will have a new one though.

 

Got one from Zims, no issues.

Zims has a high reputation for high quality re manufactured products, i have their steering rack, p/s pump and other goodies from them. 4 Years and no issues with everything (except the pump).

I buy new pumps, but there are some good quality rebuilds out there. The only rebuilt part I had a problem with from Paragon was an alternator and it was an OEM Bosch unit. It failed in one month, went to autozone and picked a duralast up for $100 less than the Paragon unit and it was much better quality...and better warranty. Chuck and Jason at Paragon usually have very high quality parts, great service and fast shipping. Sorry for hijacking the thread.
