Default Idle control valve question

Is it normal to hear a significant hissing sound from under the Intake Manifold?

its funny I noticed the same thing the other day.

I don't know if its normal. If I squeeze the hose going from the ICV to the intake I can feel the air moving along with the hissing....

I reset my idle the other day using the factory service manual's way of disengaging it. When I shut it off by jumpering B&C on the test port my hissing went away and the engine was considerable quiter. The hissing started after I did a venturi/vacuum line update and epoxied the ISV seam closed.
