Buncha babies. I tore all that crap out of my car with my bare hands and teeth.

wear a respirator and good gloves; it can get hot on your skin.

I'll post finished pics in a month or so if I ever get this done....and if my fingers still work then from all the scraping.

This is when I thought, "yeah no problem I can do this"

Here I'm becoming a little concerned that the 5 gallons of adhesive remover I bought may not be enough.

And right here is the exact moment I said outloud, "What the hell did I get myself into". Everything is glued in this car...everything and everywhere.

My preferred method is a good heatgun, a set of metal scrapers in various widths, and a "crud thug." If you plan to repaint the tub anyway, the crud thug is perfect for removing the remaining adhesive under the tar. I've done an entire car in a few hours with no chemicals.

QuickStrip + paint scraper + propane (not at the same time) + wire wheel.

The alcantara was done by Rob (Budd?) and I cut it down and made it a "shorty" dash and rapped the excess material around. Center vents are still functional with fresh air as is defrost. Despite the stock HVAC being removed. Side vents are dummies.

how did you guys get the floor clean enough to paint? I thought about getting mine sandblasted and painted eventually.

That really depends on how nice you want it to look. You can get away with missing a few patches of adhesive. Keep in mind that, unlike exterior paint, you can always touch up the interior with Krylon.

I used mineral spirits to get the last remains of adhesive off. If you miss any, the paint will scuff off real easy.
