Default Pictures of WB 951 in action

We had a couple of training days on a very wet track in Assen, in the north of the Netherlands, best known for the famous TT motor races.

Excellent to test our cars wet setup.

We had our local Porsche photographer with us, he shot some 1200 pictures in total.

Here are some samples

The narrow (250) rain tires look a bit funny, but provide excellent grip.
All in all good fun!

Yes. Since it is a track car, the lights don't have to be street legal. The headlight are standard projector lights, the turn signals are motorcycle led based.

What an amazing looking car. Even a 911 owner would respect that!

Do you have any hi-res pics? I would love to have some pics.

Most 911 guys do. Especially when you run circles around them. I will get a DVD with high res pictures shortly. Will put some up on my server. I'll send you a PM.

Nice start Hans. I was thinking about some Blue rims with that very pattern. So thanks, I can do a bit of photoshopping to see what yours look like on my car. I love how the rear fenders just engulf the wheels!
Awesome as usual. Are you still on the same motor? From memory you have about 350hp?

Thx Patrick.

The wheels are AZEV wheels, cheap but rather heavy. If you want I can look for a shot where they are perpendicular, easier to photoshop.

I am still on the same engine. No firm plans yet, I have not received word from your friends. Current thinking is to fix the stand-alone first. Had some problems on track, and we spend quite some time looking in three systems (DME, Datalogger, Mafterburner) what was wrong. a DTA S60 should fix that nicely, and with the current EUR exchange rate it is a steal.

noop, I bought from http://jongbloedracing.com/ I used this calculator http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

what the url to yours?

ended up with

18x11 ET 28 (front)
18x12.5 ET 21 (rear)

should enable me to run a 315-345 rear tire hopefully, the plan is 500+'ish of thoose american v8 ponies can't wait to meet up at spa sometime in 2009 when its all done do you ever race on nürburgring gp-strecke or nordschleife with your car?

I will race my car there this year in "non widebody" version as well hopefully, car is driveable and took a testdrive with my cuptires on the warm +2c asfalt... can you say slippery?! hehe

we got thoose fancy cornerweights at our garage yesterday, with all metal panels still, I'm at 1210KG with 1/4-1/2 of fuel, so with everything in fibeglass/carbon and polycarbonate windows I should shave as much as 100 more? but cage etc is quite heavy so perhaps 1150'ish ? time will show. I only had 48% of the weight on rear axle, so need to move more stuff to the rear. drysump, battery, cage etc should all help a lot.
