...dear god

Well a 1320ft burnout is somewhat impressive

If you read more of the thread, they guy says that he used to be a top fuel crew chief. His goal is to get that thing over 200mph ...well he got almost half way there so lets give him a round of applause

On the other hand, I am legitimately curious how that thing survived nearly 18 seconds with a 1000shot of nitrous.

Phase one: get 1000 hp.
Phase three: go very fast.

Oh wait...

Very nice car though, once it has some more traction it might fare better.

Lets do a little simple math here...
4 x 250 shot kits = 1000 hp

wait i thought this was a car forum not a japanese cooking show better add some soy sauce to that rice

Anyway - I think Lart finally found a subject most of the 928 board are in agreement with him on.

Funny thing is, his time is still better then the last two 944's I saw at the drag strip, and the NOS shot he put through his car would have tossed a 944 R&P into the next county.

I have to call bull**** on that one. I have never seen a 944 do worse than 17 seconds ...then again I never cease to be amazed by the more "chromosomically" challenged end of the 924/944 owner spectrum.

Like 85% of 928 owners, he probably had a big squishy torque converter and slipping clutches on each gear to protect his R&P

Well it's either spin the entire track, or break something trying to hook up.

That bottle bracket does look impressive though, and I'm sure its fine being mounted to the back of the seat, not like he's driving around the street with the bottle right there..

Well, is like the saying; twice the cylinders, twice the displacement, but only half the speed, Porsche 928

I broke into the 16's in my 928 once. Without the NOS ! I am hoping one day to afford a 944 so I can get rid of this 928. Its good for what it is though, a big, slow dog that cruises nicely. Oh well, I can dream.

Dude, you are in the wrong board, this is the 944 turbo board and if I am not mistaken, it was your sweet heart Mark Kibort who stated once, that you need much more money to make a 944 turbo to be as fast as his 928, so I don't think you could afford a modded 951, I don't think so.
