Well if a V8 won't break it then I doubt my engine will.

I think I have decided on using the .729 N/A 5th gear to drop the RPMs

There is an excellent write-up (with pics) on the V8 forum.

Sorry about that gents, here is the direct link to the thread:

It looks like Marc has moved the pics of the gear swap to his gallery. He posts a link in the first post of the thread. There is also an awesome Excel spreadsheet and gear chart on our V8 swap Wiki page.

Thanks Travis. That's a useful write up. Interesting to see just how different people's needs are. Ideally I would like a 6 speed that had the first 5 gears like mine now (951 box with S2 cwp) and then just one more gear over and above that. Not sure how easy that would be, or should I say how expensive???

Uhhh...anyone know how to get a hold of Jeremy Himsel. I pm'd him and his last phone number and email are out of service. If you know him, tell him to get a hold of me. Thanks.

Joe I've been PM'ing with Jeremy lately so you should be able to?

Also note that Tom has just blown his tranny with a 3.0L motor...
