They definitely do improve the looks don't they. The quick fasteners are a good idea though as I think that a splitter would have to have some effect on the track and that's the only place I could have mine as it's just too low and can't afford to keep replacing them. Nice looking car Brett.

What kind of quick fasteners are you guys taking about?

I have mine put on with screws for not, and bolts on the sides. As mine sits now, I have to remove the bumper to remove the splitter. I wanted a clean install that has you guessing how it's mounted.

Also have to remove it if I need to drain the radiator!

Ski- How'd you mount yours?

It's mounted with screws and bolts, I have holes under the splitter that are large enough to get the screws through. 1/4 turn fasteners, you have a male and female part. You use an epoxy to set them in their perspective spot.

Thanks to Ski and Olli...I REALLY want a black 951.

I looked at an immaculate black/black with fuchs, but it wasn't up to par on the maintenance. Too bad, because a black 951 is seriously the best color you can have one in, IMO.

If it's not up to maintenance, price goes down IMHO. Olli, thanks for the name of those wheels, I take it that's 87+ MY, based on the Keskins website, but I was just visiting the US one. Nice wheels, could be a few # lighter but very nice.

Thanks guys, always nice to get words from certified boosters.

Craig, track car won't be at Mayfest but I may drive up Saturday, and if they have parade laps, I might bring Noah. Have you made up your mind yet?

Yea, at an asking price of 9k, I didn't feel like having close to 12k invested in a 95k mile '86 right off the bat.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of when you do the quick fastener install and how you do it.

Bret, I won't have the race car there. I am suppose to pull the engine after a fellow racer friend of mine gets back from the TX club race. I was thinking about driving down to watch if not working.

Ski, this is Ken from Tulsa. Don't know if you remember me but I think it was your car I did the polished Porsche lettering on your cam cover when you had it in Tom's shop. If you do remember let me know. The reason is you might remember my red 951. Well I am considering selling it and want to ask if you know anyone wanting a pristine stock car?

Hey Ken! Yeah I saw you were selling your daughters car the other day...there is a thread on here looking for a low mile turbo...but I'm sure a Concour's winning would suffice also

Put up a thread and on the members for sale board as well.

Yep, cam cover still looks great, engine will be coming out this summer or fall to be replaced with 2.8L, just waiting on a few more parts to get in.
