Well I finally finished my dash replacement project - and let's be honest it became an interior upgrade. The project involved the following:
- Remove old cracked dash (used the Clarkes Garage instructions and highly recommend them) [LIST]
- Acquired used dash with 3 small cracks (under 1") and repaired these
- Replaced the old A-pillars with new ones due to cracking
- Added stainless steel trim rings to the instruments
- Refreshed the instrument light tunnels with a "light brightener kit"
- Replaced instrument lights with red LEDS (Superbright LEDs provide great illumination)
- Replaced some dash lights and the clock bulb with red LEDs
- Added Carbon Fibre Dash trim kit (Jager Engineering)
- Added stainless steel shifter cap (Rennbay)
- Added stainless steel "Turbo" script door sill covers (eBay - good quality piece)
- Replaced the old Sony stereo with a Panasonic (sound is immeasurably better) and replaced all the speakers (Panasonic 3 ways in the doors and Infinity 2 ways in the rear
Total cash investment is around $700.
This is a relatively easy project, but requires a ton of patience and organization to make that you keep track of all of the fasteners. I used Ziploc bags and tagged each bags to the instruction number from the Clark's instructions. This facilitated re-installation as it largely the reverse of disassembly process.
The dash replacement also requires a ton of care as many of the plastic trim pieces are brittle can break. I used the opportunity to take clean everything and to reinforce (Gel super glue) where weaknesses appeared.

Looks nice. I replaced mine a few months ago. I've noticed a couple of rattles so I planning on taking it back out and re-installing while adding some thin rubberstripping in the key spots.
Can you get a close up of the Jaeger kit, please? I've been trying to talk my self into getting it for a while.

Does anyone have any idea how much the stock dash weighs?? Any guesses? I've heard they weigh a heap.

Thanks Rod. I thought even more than that but that's still something to look at in the future.

Great job! Now get a couple of new rubber pedal covers on eBay for $2.95 and your interior will look brand new. ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
What eBay vendor did you get the sill covers from?

Luis,
Thanks for the compliment. Actually, was thinking aluminium pedals to complete the look, but just bought new wheels and got the quote for the rebuild on my TR6 engine. So your idea my well be enacted shortly.
